Join us at Serenity Farm, Benedict, for a fun farmers market-style event featuring local farms and artisans, live music, food trucks, and activities for the whole family!
Serenity Farm is a historic working family farm lying peacefully along the Patuxent River in Benedict, Charles County, Maryland. It has been owned and farmed by the Robinson family since 1965. Serenity Farm offers a variety of opportunities for families, schools, or groups to visit and enjoy a day on the farm. Their motto is, "You are welcome anytime."

Suttler Post Clydesdales – free carriage rides by Suttler Post Farm – home of the magnificent Southern Maryland Clydesdales (from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.).
Mary’s Go Round Pony Rides – free Pony rides for kids on the cutest ponies (from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.).
Serenity Farm Petting Pen – walk into the pen to meet and pet our kid-friendly animals – goats, donkeys, sheep, llamas, and Reebok a rescued Park Service Horse (many animals are rescues!). USDA certified petting pen.

Southern Maryland Meats Free Tasting – experience the flavor! Guests receive one free mini beef patty showcasing locally raised beef from Newport Valley Farm, kindly donated by 'Farmers Feeding Southern Maryland,' Charles County.
Free Oyster Tasting and Shucking Knife – savor Southern Maryland's succulent oysters at Thompson's Seafood tasting booth! Guests receive one free locally harvested oyster on the half shell and a free oyster shucking knife (compliments of Charles County). Additional oysters will be available to purchase.

Maryland Horse Industry Board Discovery Centers
A volunteer, certified program of licensed stables that welcomes people of all ages and experience levels to discover and learn about horses in a knowledgeable and friendly environment.
A statewide food access program that feeds Marylanders and supports farmers. MMM removes economic barriers for Marylanders experiencing food insecurity, providing a dollar-for-dollar match for purchases made using federal nutrition benefits at Maryland farmer's markets, farm stands, CSAs, and more.
Brings together citizens, community-based organizations, federal, state, county, and municipal government officials as well as representatives of the for-profit and nonprofit sectors to collectively address the needs of Rural Maryland communities.
